Rethinking Prejudice: Guardian TEFL

Along with Alex Case, we at Marxist TEFL, had long since tired of Guardian TEFL. Tired of  its plodding ideology and penchant for sales pitches disguised as articles. Imagine our surprise, therefore, to find the Guardian beginning to address the failed ideology of “International English, the road to development”

Of course Guardian TEFL seeks to to rescue its ideology by accepting “refinements” rather than reject its overall ideology, but we welcome the fact they are actually reporting events for a change. Maybe, we have to rethink our prejudices and start encouraging teachers to read Guardian TEFL again.
