Cartoon Time

No doubt most teachers are already feeling the strain of the new academic year.  The tight overloaded product based syllabuses imposed  from above will feel like a runaway train.  No matter what we do, our commitment to real learning over page turning starts to leave us exhausted as we fall behind our non-negotiable “targets”. Some teachers will already be thinking about the exams students might be facing in December.

With this in mind, we recommend you relax and watch the following cartoons, which put our experiences into some sort of perspective:

The first the Communist Manifesto, beautifully demonstrated by classic cartoon clips

The second is a well-illustrated depiction of the moving words of anti-war activist, Howard Zinn, on the subject of American Imperialism

And finally, a wonderfully concise explanation of bourgeois democracy from Captain Capitalism
